My Name Story:
When I was little, I was curious how my Mom chose my name so I asked her to share the story with me. My name is Sara Elizabeth Harrison, and through my Mom's story I learned how I got my first and middle name! When she was a little girl herself she had a baby doll she called "Sara Elizabeth," it was always a name she liked and thought was pretty. So, when she had a daughter she was excited to finally get to use this name she had loved for so long!
Hey! So Glad You're Here.
Hello everyone! My name is Sara Harrison and I am a student at Appalachian State University. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration and minor in psychology and am currently enrolled in graduate school! I will graduate this May with my master's degree in Reading Education with a certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders. There are so many students who struggle with reading and fall through the cracks, I want to learn strategies to implement in the classroom to help my students improve their literacy skills. In addition to this, I also am interested in learning strategies that can help ALL of my students, this is why I wanted to pursue the ASD certificate.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog!

Here you can see that I have created my name using objects from around my house. I used a cat toy, a pair of scissors, paperclips, and a chip clip.
